Things are not always as they appear to be on the surface. Just because a relationship, business, house, or car appears to be in good shape doesn't mean it actually is. That’s why doctors and counselors and consultants and mechanics are important. And just because a church appears to be thriving doesn't necessarily mean it is truly healthy. In Revelation chapters 2-3 the Lord Jesus Christ Himself examines several of His churches, going below the surface to what was underneath and revealing certain issues that He alone could see needed to be addressed,. In this sermon we look at the church of Ephesus' exam and see that Jesus Christ wants HIs Church to be fervent in our love for Him.
