While we may not be faced with the desperate situation as Jairus whose daughter was moments away from death (and actually did die due to the delay described in the chapter), from this account of Jesus' intervention in a dying girl's life we learn that Jesus' amazing power of intervention should cause us to trust Him completely no matter how we may feel, no matter what others say, and no matter how the circumstances may look, because with Him there is hope even when all other hope is gone.
